Save Darfur Conference Presentation

Those of us who made it to Washington DC for the Save Darfur Conference and Tents of Hope Gathering on Nov. 7th-9th learned a lot of valuable information, from the political situation in China, to grassroots public relations, to the stories of several Darfuri men told in a small informal setting.  It is almost impossible to relay all of this information in one meeting, so we are planning a Friday evening in Jan. or Feb. to discuss these topics.  A couple of us got to meet Brian Steidle, and we've decided to show clips from "Devil Came on Horseback" also.  Details to follow!

Austin Lobby Day

Members of our group will travel to Austin to lobby Senator John Cornyn.  Senator Cornyn is on the Armed Services Committee, and so will have a say on who is chosen as our new foreign policy officials.  We will also lobby our Congressmen and women to join the Congressional Sudan Caucus.

We are meeting up with Save Darfur members from San Antonio, and Texas STAND students.  The students are planning a rally for that day as well.  Contact us if you are interested in going.
